Terms of Use

1.Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Appurium (“we”, “us”) and govern your use of the Couple Notes mobile application, its backend service, and the website stickylove.app (together, the “Service”). By downloading or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2.What the Service is

Couple Notes lets exactly two people pair their devices and share a single sticky note. Each new note replaces the previous one. The note can appear in a home-screen widget and trigger a push notification on your partner’s device. The Service intentionally keeps no note history.

3.Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age required in your country) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to these Terms on your behalf. By using the Service you confirm you meet these requirements.

4.No accounts; your device credentials

The Service does not use accounts. Your device is identified by randomly generated credentials created when you first open the App and stored in your device’s keychain. You are responsible for the device you use with the Service. Because there is no account to recover, deleting the App (or losing the device) can permanently sever access to your note space — we cannot restore it, because we would have no way of knowing it was yours. Purchases can be restored through your Apple ID (see Section 7).

5.Pairing and your shared note

• Pairing connects exactly two devices. Invites expire after 20 minutes and can be used once.
• Anything you write in the note is shown to your paired partner. Don’t pair with someone you don’t want reading your notes.
• Either partner may unlink at any time in Settings. Unlinking deletes the shared note and cannot be undone.

6.Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for anything unlawful, or to harass, threaten, or abuse anyone — including your partner;
• attempt to access another person’s note space, probe, disrupt, or overload the Service, or circumvent its technical limits (such as rate limits or entitlement checks);
• reverse engineer, copy, resell, or build a competing service from the App, except where the law expressly permits it;
• use the Service to send spam or content you have no right to share.

We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms.

7.Your content

Your notes are yours. You retain all rights to what you write. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, transmit, and display your note solely as needed to operate the Service — that is, to deliver it to your paired partner. This license ends when the note is replaced, cleared, or your pair is unlinked. We never use your notes for advertising or to train AI models.

8.Premium, subscriptions, and billing

The core experience is free to try. Couple Premium unlocks unlimited shared notes and all premium features. The following plans are offered (prices are shown in the App and may vary by region and over time):

• Monthly — an auto-renewing monthly subscription;
• Yearly — an auto-renewing yearly subscription, which includes a 7-day free trial;
• Lifetime — a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

Billing through Apple

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
• Free trial: the yearly plan starts with 7 free days. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription begins and your Apple ID is charged the yearly price. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple, not us. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

The partner unlock

• One active Premium purchase unlocks Premium for both paired partners. Your partner’s access is a benefit of your active purchase and your active pairing.
• If the pair is unlinked, or the subscription expires or is refunded, the gifted partner’s Premium access ends. The purchasing partner’s own Premium follows their purchase.
• Restoring purchases is available in the App’s Settings and on the paywall, using your Apple ID.

Changes

We may change Premium pricing or what is included in Premium prospectively. For active subscriptions, price changes only apply as permitted by Apple’s subscription rules, which give you notice and, where required, ask for your consent.

9.App Store terms

The App is distributed through Apple’s App Store. Your license to the App is subject to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, and these Terms apply in addition to it. You acknowledge that: (a) these Terms are between you and Appurium, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the App or its content; (b) Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App; (c) in the event the App fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price of the App, and to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation; (d) Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability, regulatory, or IP claims; and (e) Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

10.Our intellectual property

The App, the Service, and everything that makes them up (other than your notes) — the software, design, artwork, and the Couple Notes name and logo — belong to Appurium and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms.

11.Feedback

If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you. (We do read them. Especially the sweet ones.)

12.Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every note will be delivered instantly — widget refresh and push delivery ultimately depend on your devices, operating system, and network. The Service is not designed for emergencies or time-critical communication. Nothing in these Terms limits warranties or remedies that consumer law grants you and that cannot be excluded.

13.Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Appurium will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose and (b) €50. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

14.Indemnity

You will indemnify us against claims arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

15.Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time by unlinking and deleting the App. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service (or any part of it) if you materially violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service; where reasonably possible we will give you advance notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 7 and 10–14) survive.

16.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and give notice in the App or on this site. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. The current version always lives at stickylove.app/terms.

17.Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Appurium is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you additionally enjoy the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts. EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform.

18.Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the App Store terms, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
